Job Purpose To provide practical training on EDA tools and semiconductor design workflows , covering simulation, synthesis, timing analysis, physical implementation and verification.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and maintain Linux-based EDA training environments .
- Train learners on simulation, synthesis, STA, place-and-route and physical verification.
- Demonstrate open-source and commercial EDA tools.
- Develop tool-based assignments, practical exercises and troubleshooting labs.
- Train participants on design constraints, tool reports and debugging techniques.
- Support capstone projects and technical assessments.
- Maintain documentation for software installation, configurations and lab environments.
- Troubleshoot EDA tool and software environment issues.
Required Skills Experience
- 5 12 years of experience in EDA, semiconductor design, verification or physical design .
- Strong knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog,
synthesis, STA, PR, DRC/LVS and simulation .
- Positive understanding of SPICE fundamentals .
- Proficiency in Linux and shell scripting .
- Knowledge of version-control systems.
- Hands-on experience with Cadence, Synopsys or Siemens EDA tools is preferred.
Preferred Background
- Experience with EDA vendors, ASIC design companies, semiconductor organisations or VLSI research/academic labs .
- Strong practical exposure to industry-standard EDA workflows.
