We are hiring Test Engineers for an exciting opportunity in Data Engineering / Data Warehouse Testing. We are looking for candidates with strong hands-on experience in ETL Testing, SQL, Data Warehouse Testing, and data validation.

Role: Test Engineer

Locations: Bangalore / Gurugram

Notice Period: Immediate to 30 Days only

Role Summary The Test Engineer will be responsible for executing test cases and validating data accuracy for Python-based extract/load pipelines and dbt transformation models. The role involves hands-on testing to ensure data is accurately landed from source systems and transformed outputs align with expected business logic derived from Informatica workflows.

The role will involve supporting wave-based migration delivery for SWP and IMS, working closely with Senior Test Engineers, Technical Leads, and Data Engineers.

Key Responsibilities

- Execute test cases for Python-based extract/load processes
- Validate record counts, field-level data accuracy, schema, and data type consistency
- Perform dbt transformation validation using SQL-based reconciliation queries
- Compare legacy Informatica outputs with dbt-generated results
- Log, track, and re-test defects through resolution
- Support SIT and UAT testing cycles across multiple migration waves
- Maintain test artifacts, evidence, and execution logs




- Support regression testing as new migration waves are onboarded
- Collaborate with Data Engineers to clarify expected outputs and resolve data-related issues

Key Skills Required
- Solid experience in ETL Testing
- Hands-on expertise in SQL
- Experience in Data Warehouse / Backend Testing
- Strong understanding of source-to-target data validation
- Experience with data reconciliation and data migration testing
- Exposure to Informatica is preferred
- Exposure to dbt and Python-based data pipelines will be an advantage
- Good understanding of SIT, UAT, regression testing, and defect management
