Role Overview
nWe are looking for a detail-oriented and technically proficient Functional QA Engineer to join our growing engineering team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our web applications through both manual and automated testing. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to deliver high-quality software that meets functional and business requirements.

nThis is a full-time, Hybrid role with office base locations in Canada / USA / India (Bangalore / Chennai).

nKey Responsibilities

- n
- Design and execute test plans, test cases, and checklists covering functional, regression, smoke, integration, and exploratory testingn
- Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright + Python following the Page Object Model (POM) patternn
- Perform end-to-end testing of Angular-based Single Page Applications (SPAs)n
- Validate REST APIs using Playwright API testing, Postman, or similar toolsn




- Perform database validation using SQL queries to verify backend data integrityn
- Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps / Jenkins)n
- Log explicit, reproducible bug reports with steps, screenshots, and logs; track through resolution via Jira / Azure DevOpsn
- Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing to ensure consistent UI behaviorn
- Actively participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies — sprint planning, grooming, and retrospectivesn

nRequired Skills & Experience

- n
- 3+ years of experience in Manual Testingn
- Hands-on experience automating tests using Playwright + Python (Mandatory)n
- Solid understanding of API Testing — Postman / REST Assured / similar toolsn
- Working knowledge of SQL for database validationn
- Experience testing across UI, Microservices, and Backend/DB layersn
- Good understanding of STLC, Defect Lifecycle, and Agile Methodologyn
- Familiarity with Angular, TypeScript, and RxJ
