Company Description Logistics Sector Skill Council (LSC) is a not-for-profit organization established under Section 8 of the Indian Companies Act, 2013, set up by the Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MSDE), National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), and Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). LSC focuses on building a skilled talent pipeline for the logistics sector by training entry-level professionals and upskilling the existing workforce. The council collaborates with industry partners, government agencies, training providers, and academic institutions to identify skill gaps and design targeted training programs.
As an approved awarding body of NCVET, LSC offers recognized certifications through its flagship e-learning portals, including Online Certificate Programmes and the Executive Development Center, providing flexible learning opportunities for individuals interested in logistics careers.
Role Description The Telecaller role at Logistics Sector Skill Council is a full-time hybrid position based in Chennai, with the flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The Telecaller will conduct outbound and inbound calls to prospective learners, training partners, and industry stakeholders to provide information about LSC’s programs and services. Daily responsibilities include explaining course details, answering queries, updating call records in CRM or databases, and following up on leads to support admissions and enrollment targets.
The role involves coordinating with internal teams to share feedback from callers, maintaining skilled communication standards, and meeting call volume and conversion goals. The Telecaller will also support outreach campaigns, collect basic data for reporting, and contribute to a positive experience for all callers.
Qualifications
- Strong verbal communication and active listening skills, with the ability to explain information clearly over the phone and handle queries professionally.
- Customer service and relationship-building skills to manage caller expectations, provide courteous support, and maintain a positive engagement with diverse stakeholders.
- Basic computer and CRM or database skills, including proficiency in MS Office tools and comfort with web-based applications and e-learning platforms.
- Organizational and time-management abilities to handle call volumes, follow up on leads, and maintain accurate records and reports.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid setup, with adaptability to changing tasks and outreach requirements.
- Prior experience in telecalling, customer support, or sales support is preferred, ideally in education, training, or services sectors.
- Minimum educational qualification of a higher secondary certificate or diploma; a graduate degree is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English and local/regional languages used in Chennai; additional language skills are beneficial.
