Technical Lead - Infrastructure Resilience

15+ years of experience in enterprise Microsoft infrastructure and technology environments, with proven technical leadership across infrastructure resilience, disaster recovery, Microsoft 365/Exchange, PKI/certificate management, and automation.

Role PurposeFor our client, a global pharmaceutical company, we are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to own technical delivery of the Infrastructure Resilience initiative, part of a wider Workplace Modernisation Program. The initiative covers disaster recovery, cloud mailbox migration, certificate/PKI management, and DevOps automation.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Infrastructure Project Lead, workstream specialists, and the Enterprise Architecture and Security & Compliance teams to ensure consistent, well-integrated technical delivery across all workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

- Own technical architecture and design decisions across all Infrastructure Resilience workstreams (Disaster Recovery, Cloud Migration, Hardware & Appliance Protection, DevOps Implementation, Certificate Management).
- Provide hands-on technical direction to workstream specialists (DR Architect, Cloud Migration Engineer, PKI/HSM Security Engineer, DevOps Engineer) and internal support staff.
- Own technical risk and dependency management across the initiative.
- Validate technical exit criteria at each workstream's Discovery,



Pilot and Harden phase gates.
- Ensure DR and certificate/PKI changes meet audit-ready documentation and security/compliance sign-off standards.
- Act as the primary technical escalation point to the Enterprise Architect and Security & Compliance Lead.
- Support the Project Lead with technical input for status reporting and stakeholder updates.

Required Qualifications

- Enterprise disaster recovery architecture and testing experience.
- Cloud mailbox / messaging migration experience (on-prem Exchange to cloud).
- PKI, Certificate Authority and HSM appliance security hardening experience.
- Certificate lifecycle management tooling selection and automated-renewal implementation experience.
- DevOps / automation tooling experience (CI/CD, scripting, infrastructure-as-code).
- Experience leading technical delivery across multiple concurrent infrastructure workstreams and specialists in a staff-augmentation delivery model.
- Solid stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

- Relevant vendor certifications (e.g. a recognized DR/business-continuity, PKI/HSM, or DevOps/cloud certification).
- Experience with AI-assisted certificate expiry prediction / anomaly detection tooling.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries.
