A Team Leader - Denials manages a team responsible for reviewing, investigating, and resolving denied claims. They ensure claims are processed accurately, monitor team performance, provide training and guidance, and work to reduce denial rates while meeting productivity and quality targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the denials management team.
- Review and resolve denied claims in a timely manner.
- Monitor team productivity, quality, and performance metrics.
- Identify denial trends and implement corrective actions.
- Provide coaching, training, and support to team members.
- Coordinate with internal departments to address claim issues.
- Prepare and present performance reports to management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
Experience Required
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Team Leader in Denial Management (mandatory).
- Overall experience of 3-5 years in Medical Billing/Revenue Cycle Management, preferably in Denials.
- Proven experience in handling team performance, quality, and productivity metrics.
- Experience in client interaction and process improvement initiatives is an added advantage.
