: Talent Acquisition Specialist – Intellectual Property (Patents)

Job Title: Talent Acquisition Specialist (Intellectual Property / Legal Tech)

Experience: 3–4 Years

Location: Bangalore / Gurgaon / Hyderabad / Pune (Hybrid / On-site)

Role OverviewWe are looking for a dynamic Talent Acquisition Specialist with 3 to 4 years of dedicated recruitment experience to manage end-to-end hiring for our Intellectual Property team. In this role, you will identify, engage, and hire top-tier talent across Patent Analytics, Prior Art Search, and Patent Drafting/Prosecution practice areas.

Key Responsibilities

- End-to-End Recruitment: Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for niche IP positions across junior to mid-senior levels (Patent Analysts, Registered Patent Agents, IP Associates, and Trademark Attorneys).
- Targeted Sourcing: Proactively source candidates with specialized dual-domain backgrounds (B.Tech/M.Tech/Ph.D. in CS, ECE, using Naukri, LinkedIn Recruiter, and specialized networks.
- Stakeholder Management: Partner closely with Practice Heads, Technical Leads, and HR Head to calibrate job requirements, define compensation bands, and forecast hiring pipelines.
- Screening & Assessment: Conduct initial behavioral screenings and preliminary technical profile validations to ensure alignment with role complexity, notice periods, and CTC expectations.
- Campus & Early Careers: Drive campus recruitment initiatives at premier law institutes (NLUs)



and top-tier engineering/science colleges for entry-level patent trainee programs.
- Offer Management & Onboarding: Facilitate candidate offer negotiations, manage buy-out scenarios, actively track notice periods, and mitigate early drop-off risks.
- Market Intelligence: Track Indian and global IP hiring trends, salary benchmarks, and competitor talent movements across leading IP KPOs, law firms, and in-house R&D; centers.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 3–4 years of core recruitment experience, with at least 2 years focused on IP, Patent Analytics, KPO, or Legal Tech hiring within the Indian market.
- Domain Knowledge: Solid grasp of IP terminology, including Patent Drafting, Prior Art/FTO Searches, Invalidation, Landscape Analysis, and USPTO/EPO/Indian Patent Office procedures.
- Sourcing Expertise: Demonstrated mastery of LinkedIn boolean search, Naukri Resdex, and passive candidate engagement techniques.
- Notice Period & Offer Management: Proven ability to navigate typical 60–90 day notice periods and maintain robust offer-to-joining ratios.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong negotiation and candidate persuasion abilities.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Engineering, or Law.

Preferred Qualifications
- Prior recruitment experience in a top-tier IP KPO, Tier-1/Tier-2 Indian Law Firm, or captive R&D;/GCC environment.
- Hands-on proficiency with modern ATS platforms.
