Job Opportunity – CICS Systems Programmer

nRole Overview
nWe are looking for an experienced CICS Systems Programmer with strong expertise in IBM Mainframe technologies to support and maintain enterprise-scale CICS environments. The role involves installation, maintenance, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and production support for mission-critical applications running on IBM z/OS.
nKey Responsibilities

- n
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain CICS Transaction Server environments.n
- Perform CICS administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.n
- Support CICS regions, resource definitions, and production environments.n
- Apply software maintenance and upgrades using SMP/E.n
- Analyze and resolve production issues, system dumps, and CICS abends.n
- Work closely with application teams and infrastructure teams to support business-critical systems.n
- Integrate CICS with other mainframe technologies such as DB2, IBM MQ,



and IMS.n
- Support disaster recovery activities, production implementations, and on-call rotations.n
- Monitor system health using tools such as OMEGAMON, MainView, or TMON.n
- Ensure high availability and compliance with SLA requirements.n

nRequired Skills
n
- n
- 7+ years of experience in CICS Systems Programming/Administration.n
- Strong experience with IBM CICS Transaction Server.n
- Hands-on expertise in z/OS, JCL, TSO/ISPF, and SMP/E.n
- Experience with monitoring tools such as OMEGAMON, MainView, or TMON.n
- Valuable troubleshooting and production support experience, including dump/abend analysis.n
- Working knowledge of DB2, IBM MQ, IMS, and RACF.n
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a 24x7 production support workplace.n
