Role Description The Study Abroad Counsellor (Fresher) will work in a full-time, remote capacity, guiding prospective students through their study abroad planning and application process. Day-to-day responsibilities include counseling students on suitable countries, universities, and programs based on their academic background, interests, and budget. The counsellor will explain admission requirements, documentation needs, and timelines, and provide basic guidance on standardized tests and English proficiency exams.

The role involves maintaining regular communication via calls, emails, and online meetings, tracking student progress,



and updating records in internal systems or CRM tools. The counsellor will collaborate with senior team members to coordinate application submissions, support scholarship and financial aid guidance, and ensure a positive, ethical, and student-centric experience throughout the process.

Qualifications

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills to counsel students and interact with families effectively.
- Basic understanding of study abroad processes, including university shortlisting, application steps, and visa procedures (training will be provided).
- Ability to use digital tools, spreadsheets, and online communication platforms to manage student information and follow-ups.
- Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple student cases and adhere to application deadlines.
- Customer service orientation with a student-first approach, empathy, and problem-solving abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; education, counseling, or related fields are an advantage.
- Interest in international education, global universities, and career pathways; prior internship or project exposure in counseling or education services is a plus.
- Comfort working in a remote, cooperative environment and willingness to learn quickly under guidance from senior counsellors.
