We are looking for a strong Quality Engineering candidate who can flex across MTS-2 and MTS-3 expectations depending on depth of experience, ownership, and technical maturity. This role is ideal for someone who brings deep hands-on automation skills with solid manual testing foundations, and who is excited to work on products spanning mobile, TV/CTV, web, backend services, and large-scale data pipelines.
This person will work across Nielsen Pulse / Streaming+, EMM / panel applications, and adjacent digital measurement platforms. The role requires end-to-end quality ownership across user journeys, platform integrations, data collection flows, and backend validation in a domain where correctness, scale, and platform diversity matter.
The ideal candidate is comfortable testing not just UI behavior, but also events, telemetry, APIs, databases, data pipelines, and platform-specific edge cases across Android, iOS, web, and TV environments. They should be able to design robust automation, perform deep debugging, and partner closely with engineering, product, data, and operations teams to ship high-quality releases. Qualifications
- Own test strategy, planning, execution, and sign-off for features spanning manual and automation coverage
- Build and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI, API, integration, and regression testing
- Validate complex end-to-end flows across mobile, TV/CTV, web, backend services, and data pipelines
- Perform deep validation of data correctness across logs, APIs, databases, batch jobs, event streams, and downstream reports
- Design test cases for large-volume, high-variability, real-world datasets and platform combinations
- Investigate production issues, reproduce complex defects, and drive root-cause analysis with engineering teams
- Validate streaming/data donation flows, permissions, onboarding, telemetry,
reward logic, and panel-related workflows
- Partner with developers, product managers, designers, data engineers, and stakeholders to ensure quality from requirements through release
- Improve CI/CD quality gates, regression coverage, release confidence, and defect prevention practices
- Contribute to test planning for new devices, OS upgrades, beta releases, and cross-platform compatibility validation
- Create and maintain test documentation, test evidence, dashboards, and release-quality communication
- Mentor junior QA engineers or peers in test design, debugging, automation, and quality best practices
Required Skills Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in software testing / quality engineering
- Strong hands-on experience in test automation, with good grounding in manual exploratory and functional testing
- Experience testing across some combination of Android, iOS, web, CTV/TV, and backend systems
- Robust understanding of API testing, service validation, and backend workflow testing
- Experience validating large datasets, event pipelines, reporting outputs, or analytics systems
- Strong SQL and data validation skills, including comparison of source vs processed outputs
- Experience debugging issues using logs, network traces, device logs, browser tools, and backend evidence
- Strong understanding of test design, regression planning, edge-case identification, and defect lifecycle management
- Experience working in Agile teams with cross-functional collaboration
- Ability to independently own features, drive clarity in ambiguous situations, and balance speed with quality
