The chance: Senior Manager-National-TAX-TAX - ITTS - Tax Policy and Controversy - Hyderabad

Your key responsibilities

- Role Summary: Responsible for financial and revenue analysis of the Prohibition Excise Department. Evaluate tax structures, revenue trends, pricing mechanisms, and excise frameworks. Support policy formulation and revenue optimization strategies.

- Review current revenue architecture, including tax slabs, excise duties, and license fee models.

- Analyse historical and current revenue across IMFL, Beer, FL, and Country Liquor segments.

- Recommend strategies for tax optimization, MRP rationalization, and revenue enhancement.

- Prepare financial benchmarks with other progressive Indian states.

- Develop financial models and dashboards for projecting revenue under policy scenarios.

- Assess fiscal impact of proposed policy changes on excise revenue.

- Coordinate with Corporation, Excise officials, and technical teams for data collection and validation.





- Draft monthly financial progress reports and presentations for government review.

- Liaise with audit and accounts teams for data clarity and compliance tracking.

Qualifications

- CA / CMA / B.Tech / MBA (Finance) from reputed institutions.

- 6-10 years of experience in financial analysis, taxation, or public finance consulting.

- Preferred experience in government advisory or regulated sectors (alcohol, tobacco, petroleum).

- Strong knowledge of revenue budgeting, financial modeling, and tax policy.

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power BI/Tableau, and financial analytics tools.

- Excellent analytical, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Experience

- Alcohol industry or regulatory experience (10+ years)
