About the Role

Lead the medical administration of assigned clinical and surgical specialties, providing overall medical leadership for clinical care delivery, departmental operations, people management and infrastructure. The role also carries overall responsibility for Operation Theatres, Biomedical Engineering and CSSD through their respective department heads.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, monitor and supervise operations of assigned inpatient, clinical and surgical specialties in collaboration with Directors and Mentors for effective patient care.
- Drive medical governance — policies, SOPs, bylaws, credentialing & privileging, risk identification and mitigation.
- Ensure regulatory and medico-legal compliance (PCPNDT, medical records, patient confidentiality in HIS).
- Ensure optimal OT utilisation — audits, TAT monitoring, remedial action and timely issue resolution.
- Oversee Biomedical Engineering: equipment planning, evaluation, life-cycle management and uptime.




- Oversee CSSD: sterilisation standards, uninterrupted supply and periodic compliance audits.
- Drive patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes through clinical audits, PROMs, clinical pathways and standardised evidence-based protocols.
- Lead accreditation and quality programmes in line with JCI / NABH standards; ensure infection control and antibiotic stewardship compliance.
- Strengthen clinical capability by onboarding and engaging suitable consultants; support introduction of new specialties.
- Plan and monitor annual budgets, capex/opex for equipment, consumables and manpower; ensure optimal resource utilisation.
- Set goals, appraise performance, mentor teams and develop a strong second line of leadership.
- Encourage clinical research, education and publications; keep abreast of current technology and innovation.

Candidate Profile

- MBBS with 5+ years of post-qualification experience in clinical and medical administration.
- Experience in a large multispecialty hospital with administrative responsibility is essential.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management and quality/accreditation exposure (NABH/JCI).
- MHA/MBA is an added advantage.
