- Manage and execute the monthly German payroll cycle ( Entgeltabrechnung ) for our German entities from offshore, ensuring 100% accuracy and timeliness.

- Handle complex payroll inputs, including gross-to-net calculations, bonuses, commissions, maternity/paternity leave ( Elternzeit ), sick leave ( Entgeltfortzahlung ), and company car taxation ( 1% Regelung ).

- Process retro-calculations ( R ckrechnungen ) and ensure correct adjustments are applied across fiscal periods.

Statutory Compliance

Reporting

- Ensure strict adherence to German tax laws ( Lohnsteuer ) and social security regulations ( Sozialversicherung ).

- Manage monthly and annual electronic transmissions to German authorities, including the tax office ( Finanzamt ), health insurance funds ( Krankenkassen ), and federal employment agencies via ELSTER and DE V.

- Lead payroll year-end activities, including the generation of annual tax certificates ( Lohnsteuerbescheinigung ) and accident insurance notifications ( UV-Meldeverfahren ).

Bilingual Stakeholder Query

Management





- Serve as the first point of contact for Germany-based employees, HR partners, and managers, resolving payroll queries entirely in German (written and verbal).

- Communicate directly with German statutory bodies, auditors, and health insurance providers to resolve discrepancies or clarify regulatory changes.

- Translate local legislative updates from German to English for internal leadership reporting when required.

Audit Process

- Support internal and external payroll audits conducted by German tax authorities ( Lohnsteuerpr fung ) and social security institutions.

- Identify process bottlenecks in the offshore-onshore delivery model and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll efficiency.
