Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Sr.

Estimation

Engineer (Fire Protection). The role involves preparing detailed cost estimates for fire protection systems, including BOQs, pricing, and technical proposals for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. The Sr.

Estimation

Engineer will review drawings, specifications, and tender documents, perform quantity take-offs, and coordinate with engineering and project teams to ensure accurate and competitive bids.



Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market and technical research, evaluating vendor quotations, supporting negotiations with clients and partners, and aligning estimates with relevant fire and life-safety codes and standards. The role also includes collaborating with internal stakeholders to optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, maintaining estimation databases, and supporting project handover to execution teams.

Qualifications

- Robust expertise in BOQ preparation and Project Estimation for fire protection systems, including quantity take-offs and cost analysis.
- Educational background in Civil Engineering or related engineering discipline, with solid understanding of construction and fire protection standards.
- Proficiency in Negotiation and vendor/client coordination to support competitive bidding and value engineering.
- Ability to conduct thorough Research on pricing, materials, fire protection technologies, and applicable codes and regulations.
- Experience with fire protection system design and estimation for sprinklers, hydrants, suppression, alarm and detection, and related equipment.
- Familiarity with relevant NFPA, local fire codes, and industry best practices for fire and life-safety systems.
- Competence in using estimation and CAD tools, MS Excel, and other project documentation software.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with remote, cross-functional teams.
