Role Description The Sports Editor at Criclive.in is a full-time, on-site role based in Janakpuri.

The Sports

Editor will oversee daily sports coverage, including planning and assigning stories, editing match reports, features, and opinion pieces, and ensuring timely updates during live events. This role involves maintaining high editorial standards, refining headlines and copy for clarity and impact, and coordinating with writers and contributors to deliver consistent, engaging content.

Editor will also support the creation of press releases,



collaborate with the social media team on content promotion, and help shape the editorial voice across cricket and other sports coverage.

Qualifications

- Strong Sports Writing and general Writing skills, with the ability to produce clear, engaging, and accurate coverage under deadlines.
- Background in Journalism, including news judgment, story structuring, and familiarity with editorial best practices.
- Experience drafting and editing Press Releases for media outreach and brand communication.
- Deep knowledge of cricket and additional sports such as Football, with the ability to analyze matches, trends, and statistics.
- Excellent editing and proofreading abilities, attention to detail, and command of grammar and style.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, Sports Management, or a related field (or equivalent relevant experience).
- Comfort working in a fast-paced newsroom setting, with strong time management and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with digital publishing tools, content management systems, and basic SEO principles is an advantage.
