Role Description The Spirulina Technician is a full-time, in office role based at PonicOne’s farm in Hyderabad. This role involves monitoring and maintaining spirulina cultivation systems, including daily checks of water quality, nutrient levels, temperature, and light conditions. The technician will perform harvesting, filtration, drying, and packaging processes according to established safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities include recording production data, reporting any irregularities or equipment issues, and assisting with routine cleaning, calibration, and minor maintenance of tanks and related systems.

Technician will collaborate with farm and quality teams to implement standard operating procedures, support process improvements, and ensure consistent, high-quality spirulina output aligned with PonicOne’s sustainability goals.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess practical skills in handling aquaculture or algae cultivation systems, including basic knowledge of water chemistry and nutrient management.
- Candidates should possess skills in quality and hygiene control,



such as following SOPs, maintaining clean work areas, and adhering to food safety guidelines.
- Candidates should possess observational and documentation skills, including accurate data entry, record-keeping, and reporting of any deviations in cultivation conditions.
- Candidates should possess operational and technical skills, such as operating pumps, filters, and farm equipment, and performing routine checks and minor troubleshooting.
- Candidates should possess collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to work effectively with farm staff, supervisors, and cross-functional teams.
- Relevant qualifications include a diploma or degree in aquaculture, biotechnology, microbiology, agriculture, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience in spirulina or microalgae production, familiarity with sustainable farming practices, and the ability to work flexible hours as needed.
