About the Role

We are looking for a Social Media & Brand Communication Intern who is creative, confident, curious and comfortable communicating with people.

This is not just a "posting on Instagram" role.

You will help shape how Ekatraa is perceived online by creating engaging content, identifying interesting stories and conversations, participating in videos, interviewing people and communicating Ekatraa's ideas in a way that connects with our audience.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable both behind the screen and in front of the camera.

You will work closely with the founders and the marketing team and get the prospect to play a meaningful role in building the brand from an early stage.

Key Responsibilities

- Social Media & Content

Plan and execute social media content for Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook and other relevant platforms.

Develop ideas for Reels, short-form videos, carousels, stories and other content formats.

Research trends, topics and conversations relevant to the events, hospitality and wedding ecosystem.

Develop creative hooks, captions, scripts and content concepts.

Maintain and execute the social media content calendar.

Collaborate with the design and video teams to produce high-quality content.

Monitor content performance and identify opportunities to improve reach, engagement and audience growth.

- On-Camera Content & Communication

Appear in Ekatraa's Reels, videos, interviews and other digital content.

Present ideas, opinions and educational content related to the events and hospitality industry.

Host interviews and conversations with event professionals, vendors, entrepreneurs and consumers.

Participate in podcasts, webinars, live sessions and other brand initiatives.

Represent Ekatraa at selected events and industry engagements.





Develop a natural and engaging on-camera communication style.

- Brand Communication

Help communicate Ekatraa's vision, values and unique proposition across digital platforms.

Convert complex business ideas into simple, relatable and engaging content.

Identify real problems faced by consumers and businesses in the events industry and turn them into meaningful conversations.

Help establish Ekatraa as a credible and knowledgeable voice within the industry.

Maintain consistency in Ekatraa's tone, messaging and visual communication.

Work closely with the founders to turn their ideas, insights and observations into compelling content.

- Research & Community Building

Stay updated on social media trends, formats and emerging content opportunities.

Research competitors, industry developments and relevant conversations.

Identify potential creators, influencers, industry experts and collaborators.

Engage with the Ekatraa community and help build meaningful relationships online.

Track audience responses and use insights to improve future content.

You Will Have an Advantage If You Have:





Experience creating Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts.

Experience with Canva, CapCut or similar tools.

Experience in content creation, blogging or copywriting.

Experience in public speaking, debating, anchoring or hosting.

Experience conducting interviews.

Experience managing a social media page.

Photography or videography skills.

Experience working with startups or student communities.
