About the Job:
- Role:- Senior Lead Engineer, Testing.
- Experience:- 9 Years to 12 Years.
- Location:- Remote.
We are looking for an experienced QA professional with strong manual testing, defect investigation, and hands-on test automation experience . The role involves supporting customer issues, validating fixes and releases, strengthening regression coverage, and driving the adoption of reusable and scalable automation practices across products and client variants. You will work closely with Product, Support QA, Engineering, and internal tooling teams , while guiding teams on complex test scenarios, automation approaches, and testing standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate, reproduce, and validate customer issues across different environments, configurations, roles, and client variants.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, smoke, exploratory, and end-to-end testing .
- Validate business rules, APIs, databases, integrations, batch jobs, asynchronous processing, and time-based scenarios .
- Create clear defect reports and support defect triage and root-cause analysis.
- Convert recurring issues into effective regression coverage, reusable test data, or automation.
- Evaluate and recommend the right automation approach: platform-based, Selenium/Playwright, or hybrid automation .
- Build and promote reusable test components, test data, automation standards, and maintainable test suites.
- Support API, database, CI/CD, and Git-based workflows across multiple products and client variants.
- Guide and coach team members on manual testing, automation best practices, troubleshooting, and framework/platform adoption.
- Help define testing standards, governance, reporting, and adoption practices across teams.
- Track and report metrics/OKRs related to test coverage,
defect prevention, automation adoption, platform usage, and support quality .
Mandatory Skills & Experience:
- 3+ years of experience supporting or leading an enterprise-scale test automation platform.
- Strong experience in manual testing, defect investigation, regression testing, and release validation .
- Hands-on experience with Selenium and/or Playwright .
- Solid knowledge of API testing, database validation, test data management, and CI/CD .
- Experience testing dynamic data, multi-role workflows, integrations, asynchronous processing, or batch jobs .
- Experience working with Git branching across multiple products, clients, or variants.
- Ability to evaluate different automation approaches and recommend practical, scalable solutions.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience influencing teams to follow common testing and automation standards.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Insurance or other regulated industries .
- Experience supporting products with multiple client configurations or variants.
- Experience with test framework migration, automation frameworks, reusable libraries, or test utilities .
- Experience working with internal tooling/platform engineering teams.
- Exposure to accessibility, performance, security, compliance, or other non-functional testing .
