Job Summary

Shriram General Insurance is seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Software Associate to contribute to the development, enhancement, testing, and maintenance of software applications. The role involves working closely with development teams and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality, reliable, and scalable technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, test, and maintain software applications based on business and technical requirements.
- Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code.
- Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders.
- Analyze requirements and contribute to technical solution design.
- Develop and integrate APIs, databases, and third-party services.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and technical issues.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
- Support application deployment, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, reliability, and security.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members.
- Contribute to process improvements and technology initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications




- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of software development principles and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or similar.
- Valuable understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP), data structures, and software design principles.
- Experience with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and web service integration.
- Experience with Git and version control systems.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Skills
- Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Django, .NET, Node.js, React, or Angular.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Understanding of microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Exposure to insurance or BFSI technology environments will be an added advantage.
