Hiring: Senior Principal Data Engineer | Gen Digital

? Location: Pune / Chennai | Hybrid | Full-time

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Principal Data Engineer to provide hands-on technical leadership and architect enterprise-scale data solutions.

? Data Engineering & Architecture: Architect and own large-scale, high-volume data platforms with strong expertise in Snowflake, dimensional data warehousing, Kimball modeling and star schema architectures.

? Programming & Transformation: Expert-level proficiency in SQL and/or Python, with production experience using dbt or SQLMesh for scalable data transformation workflows.

? Cloud & Modern Data Stack: Solid hands-on experience with AWS, Apache Kafka, Apache Iceberg, data lakehouse architectures, event-driven systems and real-time analytics pipelines.

? Engineering Excellence:



Extensive experience with CI/CD, GitFlow/Trunk-based development, production deployments, PR/code reviews, RFCs/technical specifications, performance tuning and cost optimization.

? Technical Leadership: Lead complex cross-team engineering initiatives, own multiple services/domains, mentor senior engineers, establish engineering standards and collaborate with technical and business stakeholders.

? Experience: 6–10+ years of hands-on Data Engineering experience in large-scale environments.

⭐ Experience with GDPR/PCI-DSS, cybersecurity, fintech, ad-tech, subscription analytics, LTV/churn modeling or behavioral analytics is a strong advantage.
