Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager – Payroll & HR to manage end-to-end payroll operations for 2,000+ employees in a highly unionized manufacturing environment. The role will oversee payroll, statutory compliance, LTS/union settlements, PMS-linked compensation, audits, HRMS/ERP, MIS, and team management.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end monthly payroll for 2,000+ employees with accuracy and timely salary disbursement.
- Handle complex payroll components including production incentives, LTS, allowances, overtime, bonus, VPF, LIC, cooperative deductions, and variable pay.
- Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, PT, TDS, Bonus, Gratuity and applicable labour laws.
- Manage EPFO, ESIC, TRACES, ECR, Form 24Q, Form 16 and other statutory requirements.
- Handle LTS, union wage settlements, payroll-related grievances, and employee relations.
- Ensure accurate processing of PMS-linked increments, promotions, bonuses, incentives, and performance payouts.
- Lead PF/statutory/internal audits, payroll reconciliations, and compliance reviews.




- Manage and optimize SAP/Oracle/HRMS payroll systems and drive payroll automation.
- Prepare payroll MIS, cost reports, variance analysis, dashboards, and management reports.
- Lead and develop a team of 2–3 payroll professionals.
- Drive process improvement, SOP implementation, automation, controls, and payroll risk management.

Education
- MBA/PGDM – HR / HRM / Industrial Relations or equivalent.
- Certification in Payroll, Labour Laws, Taxation or Compensation & Advantages will be an advantage.

Required Experience & Skills
- 8–10 years of experience in Payroll & HR Operations.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience handling payroll for 1,500+ employees, preferably in a unionized manufacturing setup.
- Strong knowledge of EPF, ESI, PT, TDS, Bonus Act, Gratuity Act, Labour Laws and Payroll Compliance.
- Strong exposure to LTS, union settlements, incentives and complex compensation structures.
- Advanced MS Excel – Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Dashboards, Macros/VBA.
- Hands-on experience with SAP/Oracle/HRMS and statutory portals.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation, stakeholder management and team leadership skills.
