Role Description The Senior HVAC & Plumbing BIM Designer/Modeler is a full-time, on-site role based in Dubai. This role involves developing detailed 3D BIM models for HVAC and plumbing systems, coordinating designs with architectural and structural teams, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and international standards. The individual will translate engineering concepts into constructible models, perform clash detection, and support design optimization for district energy and high-performance building projects.

Daily tasks include updating and maintaining BIM documentation, preparing coordinated shop drawings,



supporting multidisciplinary design reviews, and collaborating closely with engineers, project managers, and external stakeholders. The role also involves contributing to best practices, mentoring junior designers/modelers, and supporting continuous improvement of BIM workflows and templates.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust HVAC-related skills, including HVAC Design and practical HVAC system understanding.
- Candidates should possess robust plumbing-related skills, including Plumbing Design and applied Plumbing system knowledge.
- Candidates should possess solid Mechanical Engineering fundamentals to support MEP design integration and system coordination.
- Proficiency in BIM authoring tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks or equivalent) and experience with clash detection and model coordination.
- Experience in MEP design for district cooling, co-generation/tri-generation, or large-scale commercial and mixed-use projects.
- Ability to interpret and apply international mechanical and plumbing codes and relevant standards.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline; advanced certifications in BIM or MEP design are an advantage.
- Previous experience in consultancy environments and exposure to sustainability-focused or green building projects is beneficial.
