We’re Hiring: Senior Front-End Engineer – Design Systems

STASX Consulting is looking for an experienced Senior Front-End Engineer to support a long-term remote digital transformation engagement.

This is a highly hands-on engineering role for someone who has built scalable component libraries and enterprise design systems—not a primarily visual or UX design position.

What you’ll be working on:

Building reusable, production-ready components using React and Type Script

Developing and maintaining design tokens and shared UI foundations

Aligning Figma libraries and variables with front-end implementation

Creating accessible, responsive components aligned with WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA

Maintaining Storybook documentation and implementation guidance

Improving component testing, versioning, packaging and release workflows

Supporting design-system adoption across multiple product teams

Collaborating with designers, developers, product owners and accessibility specialists

What we’re looking for

5+ years of contemporary front-end development experience

3+ years of recent experience building or maintaining design systems or component libraries

Advanced experience with Type Script, React, Node.js, HTML and CSS





Strong knowledge of design tokens and Figma-to-code workflows

Experience with Storybook or a similar component documentation platform

Practical accessibility implementation and testing experience

Experience with automated testing, CI/CD, npm packages and component versioning

Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills

Experience with Vue.js, monorepos, open-source projects or highly regulated environments will be advantageous.

Availability required during 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
