Job Summary

We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchase Executive with strong material planning and demandforecasting skills to manage end-to-end procurement activities for our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will ensure timely availability of raw materials, components, and consumables while optimizing cost, quality, and inventory levels.

Procurement & Sourcing

- Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors/suppliers for raw materials, components, and maintenance items
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings without compromising quality
- Issue purchase orders and track order status through to delivery
- Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and procedures

Planning & Forecasting

- Analyze production schedules, sales forecasts, and historical consumption data to determine material requirements
- Prepare monthly/quarterly purchase plans aligned with production and demand forecasts
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent stockouts or excess inventory
- Coordinate with production, Store, and planning teams to align procurement with business needs
- Use ERP system for demand planning and purchase order generation

Vendor and Sub-contractor Management

- Develop and maintain strong vendor / sub-contractor relationships
- Conduct periodic vendor / sub-contractor performance evaluations (quality, delivery, pricing)
- Resolve quality or delivery issues with suppliers / sub-contractors promptly

Inventory & Cost Control





- Monitor stock levels and reorder points to maintain optimal inventory
- Track price trends and market conditions to make informed purchasing decisions
- Support cost-reduction initiatives and value engineering projects

Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain accurate purchase records, contracts, and vendor databases
- Prepare MIS reports on purchase spend, savings, and vendor performance
- Coordinate with stores for timely GRN (Goods Receipt Note) processing and invoice reconciliation with the accounts team

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field
- 6-8 years of purchase/procurement experience in a manufacturing workplace
- Strong experience in demand planning, forecasting, and inventory management
- Proficiency in ERP systems (Tally ERP) and MS Excel
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Good communication and cross-functional coordination skills
- Knowledge of procurement KPIs, lead times, and supply chain fundamentals
- Experience with Bill of Materials (BOM)-based purchasing

Preferred Qualifications

- Certification in Supply Chain Management (CPSM, CSCP, or similar)
- Exposure to import/export procurement processes
