Role Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Databricks & Terraform Platform Engineer with 7 to 12 years of experience in data platform engineering, DataOps, platform engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE). The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), platform automation, cloud-based data platforms, and CI/CD practices, with a focus on building reliable, scalable, and governed data platform capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Provision, configure, and manage platform resources using reusable Terraform modules and Infrastructure as Code practices.

- Develop and maintain automation tooling, APIs, testing frameworks, structured logging, and reusable utilities using Python.

- Operate and administer Databricks environments, including workspaces, identities, groups, service principals, entitlements, compute policies, clusters, SQL warehouses, and Jobs/Workflows.

- Configure and manage Unity Catalog components including metastores, catalogs, schemas, external locations, storage credentials, workspace bindings, ownership models, and access controls.

- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting infrastructure, platform configurations, and deployment workflows.

- Implement environment promotion, deployment controls, approval workflows, rollback processes, and deployment traceability.

- Integrate platform services and workflows through APIs and automation frameworks.





- Establish monitoring, reliability, operational governance, and cost-management practices across platform services.

- Troubleshoot production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and automate recurring operational tasks.

- Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, configuration inventories, access records, and recovery procedures.

Experience

- 7 to 12 years of experience in Data Platform Engineering, DataOps, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Terraform, including modules, state management, imports, plans, provider/version management, environment separation, drift detection, and CI/CD integration.

- Strong production experience working with Databricks platforms and automation.

- Solid software engineering experience using Python for automation and platform tooling.
