This is the lead analog hire. You'll report directly to the Director of Analog, with regular collaboration with the CTO, the founder and the UK photonics team. The work Designing the precision mixed signal layer that sits between the photonic compute core and the rest of the chip.

ADC and DAC design, references, biasing, LDOs. Heater drivers and precision current sources for thermal tuning of photonic components. Modulator drivers. Full design cycle from architecture through tape-out and silicon validation.

Advanced CMOS node. What you'll bring8-10+ years of mixed-signal IC design experience in advanced CMOS,



with at least one tape-out you led from concept through silicon. Robust on either data converters or photonic-adjacent driver design.

Cadence

Virtuoso, Spectre and AMS verification methodology. MEng, MSc or Ph D in electronic engineering or equivalent. Critically, the hiring manager is looking for a generalist, not a specialist. If your career has shown breadth across multiple analog and mixed-signal blocks rather than depth in a single one, that's the profile. Nice to have Silicon photonics adjacency.
