Role Description The Senior Accountant role at Venivo Sports is a full-time, on-site position based in Thiruvananthapuram.

The Senior

Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and monthly closing activities. This role will prepare financial statements, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure accurate recording of revenue, inventory, and expenses for the activewear business.

Accountant will monitor compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations, coordinate with auditors, and recommend process improvements to strengthen internal controls. Collaboration with operations, sales,



and management teams is expected to provide financial insights that support strategic decisions and business growth.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in core accounting functions, including general ledger accounting, accounts payable/receivable management, bank reconciliation, and month-end closing.
- Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support data-driven decision-making.
- Knowledge of applicable tax laws, regulatory requirements, and compliance standards relevant to the region.
- Experience using accounting and ERP software, with solid Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
- Attention to detail, strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a structured approach to documentation.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced workplace.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines with high accuracy.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certification (such as CA, CMA, or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Prior experience in a senior or lead accounting role, ideally in retail, e-commerce, manufacturing, or a similar product-based business.
- Commitment to ethical financial practices and continuous improvement of accounting processes.
