Role Description This is a remote volunteer role for a Scrum Master supporting cohorts of learners and instructional teams.

The Scrum

Master will facilitate sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to help teams deliver learning projects and practice agile ways of working. This role includes guiding participants in writing and refining user stories, managing simple backlogs, and coordinating tasks to keep projects on track.

Master will coach learners on agile principles,



encourage collaboration and clear communication, and help remove blockers that affect project progress. The position involves partnering with educators and staff to continuously improve processes and ensure an inclusive, supportive learning environment.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Sprint Planning and managing agile ceremonies.
- Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills to assess team performance and identify improvements.
- Candidates should possess clear Communication skills for guiding learners and collaborating with staff.
- Candidates should possess experience working with User Stories and basic backlog management.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Software Development concepts and contemporary development practices.
- Experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or in similar agile roles (professional or educational settings) is beneficial.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CSM, PSM) and experience with tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar platforms are a plus.
- Ability to mentor diverse learners, support an inclusive environment, and commit consistent volunteer time on a remote basis is strongly preferred.
