About Reliant Packaging FilmsReliant Packaging Films is an established Indian manufacturer of multilayer cast plastic films and medical packaging materials since the year 2000. Our products include CPP films, medical blister films, semi-embossed films and PET/CPP laminates. We are certified under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 and supply to leading companies in the medical, tyre, food and industrial sectors.
We are looking for a hands-on QA/QC Manager who can strengthen our quality systems, improve process control and develop a capable quality team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage quality assurance and quality control for plastic films and laminates.
- Understand production processes in detail and convert them into practical SOPs, standard operating conditions, control plans, specifications and checklists.
- Maintain and continuously improve the company’s ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 quality management systems.
- Conduct internal audits and coordinate surveillance and recertification audits.
- Maintain document control, records, management-review documentation and audit-compliance systems.
- Train employees on ISO procedures, quality records and good documentation practices.
- Handle customer complaints, conduct root-cause analysis and prepare, implement and verify CAPAs.
- Communicate directly with customers and visit customer locations when required to understand quality problems.
- Coordinate with production and technical teams to develop solutions and clearly communicate corrective actions to customers.
- Monitor testing and quality parameters for films and laminates, including thickness, GSM, tensile properties, COF, seal strength, treatment level, bond strength and visual defects.
- Use Excel and other basic computer applications to analyse test results, rejection, wastage,
process variation, customer complaints and recurring quality problems.
- Analyse quality performance by product, machine, shift, operator, customer, raw-material batch and defect category to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare clear weekly and monthly dashboards covering rejection, waste, complaints, CAPA status, hold material and major quality trends.
- Use AI and other appropriate digital tools to assist with data analysis, reporting, documentation, root-cause investigation and process improvement.
- Establish and maintain batch-wise traceability from incoming raw materials through production, slitting, lamination, testing, finished goods and dispatch.
- Ensure that customer complaints and rejected material can be traced back to relevant raw-material lots, production parameters, machine, shift, test results and QC approvals.
- Support implementation and improvement of ERP, barcoding and digital quality-control records.
- Establish proper systems for non-conforming material, quarantine, hold/release decisions, retained samples and change control.
- Support product trials, process improvements and customer qualification activities.
- Hire, train and develop QC freshers from CIPET and other plastics/polymer institutes.
- Prepare and execute IQ, OQ and PQ documentation where required.
Candidate ProfileThe candidate should have strong experience in at least one of the following areas:
1. Quality control and process knowledge in plastic films, flexible packaging or laminates; or
2. Quality systems, ISO 13485 and medical-device or medical-packaging manufacturing.
The candidate must be systematic, self-motivated, data-oriented and capable of learning the area in which they have less experience. Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma/B.Tech/B.E./M.Tech in Plastics, Polymer, Chemical, Packaging Technology or a related field.
- CIPET qualification will be preferred.
- 6–12 years of relevant manufacturing quality experience.
- Practical knowledge of ISO 9001 is required.
- Hands-on exposure to ISO 13485 will be strongly preferred.
- Experience in internal audits, CAPA, root-cause analysis and customer-complaint handling.
- Working knowledge of Excel, including formulas, filters, pivot tables, charts and basic data analysis.
- Comfortable learning and using AI tools, ERP systems and other digital applications for quality improvement and reporting.
- Solid understanding of production and batch traceability.
- Experience with cast films, coextruded films, CPP, PE, PET, PA or flexible laminates will be an advantage.
- Exposure to IQ/OQ/PQ, process validation, SPC, Cp/Cpk or MSA will be an advantage.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on SME environment involving both the shop floor and quality documentation.
- Good written communication and the confidence to interact with customers, auditors, operators and senior management.
- Able to work independently, manage differing viewpoints and ensure closure of quality actions.
What We Are Looking ForThis position is suited to someone who does more than inspect finished material or maintain ISO files. We need someone who can understand problems deeply, use data to identify patterns, establish workable systems, develop people and ensure that corrective actions are implemented on the production floor. The role may offer future opportunities to contribute to quality systems and validation projects in other group businesses, depending on the candidate’s capability and interests.
