About the Role

Aksharum is looking for 3 motivated, detail-oriented, and enthusiastic QA Interns to join our engineering team. This opportunity is ideal for students, fresh graduates, and aspiring software testers who want to build a strong foundation in Software Quality Assurance and Software Testing through hands-on experience with real-world applications.

As a QA Intern, you will work closely with developers and the product team to understand requirements, test new features, identify defects, and help ensure that our applications deliver a reliable and high-quality user experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand business and technical requirements.
- Prepare test scenarios, test cases, and test data.
- Perform functional testing of web applications.
- Perform regression testing after new features and bug fixes.
- Perform UI, usability, and cross-browser testing.
- Identify, document, and track bugs with clear reproduction steps.
- Retest reported issues after fixes are implemented.
- Verify that application features work according to the defined requirements.
- Work closely with developers to understand and troubleshoot issues.
- Perform basic API testing using tools such as Postman.
- Perform basic database validation using SQL when required.
- Maintain testing documentation and test reports.
- Participate in release and deployment testing.
- Assist in improving the overall QA and testing process.
- Learn and apply software testing best practices.

Eligibility
- B.Tech / B.E / BCA / MCA / B.Sc. Computer Science or related fields.
- Freshers and candidates with 0–1 year of experience can apply.




- Students or recent graduates interested in building a career in Software Testing / QA are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates should be willing to learn, take responsibility, and work as part of a development and QA team.

Compensation & Career GrowthMonths 1–3 — Unpaid InternshipThe first 3 months will be an unpaid internship period focused on learning, training, and gaining practical experience. During this period, interns will receive hands-on exposure to real-world projects, testing methodologies, QA processes, bug reporting, and software development workflows.

Months 4–6 — Performance-Based StipendAfter completing the initial 3-month period, interns may become eligible for a performance-based stipend of approximately ₹5,000–₹10,000 per month.

The stipend will be determined based on factors including:

- Technical and testing skills
- Learning progress
- Quality of work
- Productivity and contribution
- Discipline and professionalism
- Ability to work independently
- Team collaboration
- Overall performance

After 6 Months — Full-Time OpportunityAfter completing 6 months, high-performing interns may be considered for a full time employment opportunity with Aksharum. The expected salary range for the full-time position will be approximately:

₹2.5 LPA – ₹3.0 LPA The final compensation and employment offer will depend on the candidate's performance, skills, capabilities, and available business requirements.

Important: Progression from the unpaid internship period to the stipend period and subsequently to full-time employment is performance-based and is not guaranteed solely on completion of the specified period.Service CommitmentCandidates who are selected for a full-time position after the internship will be required to sign an 18-month service agreement with Aksharum.

The service agreement will outline the applicable terms, conditions, and obligations associated with the full-time employment.





The detailed service agreement will be shared with the candidate for review before acceptance of the full-time employment offer.

The service commitment applies to the full-time employment stage and not to the initial internship period.
