We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to join our engineering team and help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our web applications. The ideal candidate will have robust hands-on experience with Playwright and JavaScript/TypeScript, along with a solid understanding of software testing methodologies and automation best practices.

The candidate will work closely with developers, business analysts, and product teams to design comprehensive test strategies, develop robust automation frameworks, identify defects, and continuously improve our overall QA processes.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, UI, and end-to-end testing of web applications.
- Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective test scenarios and test cases.
- Collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Identify, document, track, and report software defects using appropriate defect management tools.
- Perform root-cause analysis and work with development teams to ensure timely defect resolution.
- Integrate and execute automated test suites as part of CI/CD pipelines.
- Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks, test scripts, utilities, and reusable components.
- Conduct API testing and use debugging tools to identify and troubleshoot application issues.
- Create and maintain test plans, test cases, automation documentation, and testing reports.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve test coverage,



automation efficiency, and overall QA processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Hands-on experience with the Playwright automation framework.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
- Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Strong knowledge of software testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
- Experience with API testing and application debugging tools.
- Working knowledge of Git/version control systems.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and tools.
- Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced development environment.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with Selenium, Cypress, or other test automation frameworks.
- Exposure to Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar CI/CD platforms.
- Basic understanding of SQL and database testing.
- Experience working with test reporting and automation dashboards.
- Familiarity with automation framework design, reusable test components, and test data management.

Education

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

- 2–5 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Test Automation.
- Strong hands-on experience in Playwright automation using JavaScript/TypeScript is highly preferred.
