Role Overview

We are looking for a DevSecOps and QA Automation Engineer to join our flexible delivery bench, activated on a trigger-based model as platform needs arise. You will own the automated testing, security scanning, and quality gate layer of the integration platform — ensuring every API and integration reaching production has passed rigorous, automated validation.

Working Hours: Eastern Time (ET) business hours

Key Responsibilities

- Implement and maintain automated contract testing frameworks for APIs using Pact or equivalent consumer-driven contract testing tools.
- Build and operate breaking-change detection pipelines that flag incompatible API changes before they reach downstream consumers.
- Integrate SAST (Static Application Security Testing) and DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing) tooling into CI/CD pipelines.
- Configure and maintain API linting rules using Spectral as pipeline quality gates.




- Define and track quality gate criteria — ensuring integrations meet security, performance, and standards thresholds before promotion.
- Collaborate with the Integration Platform Engineer to embed security and quality checks into golden-path CI/CD templates.
- Triage and investigate quality failures, working with delivery teams to resolve root causes.

Required Skills

- 3 - 6 years in DevSecOps, QA automation, or platform engineering roles.
- Experience with contract testing frameworks — Pact, Dredd, or similar.
- Hands-on SAST/DAST tooling experience — SonarQube, OWASP ZAP, Checkmarx, or equivalents.

API linting and standards enforcement experience using Spectral or similar.

CI/CD pipeline engineering skills — Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Actions.

- Strong understanding of breaking-change detection and API versioning risk patterns.

Positive to Have

- Familiarity with observability tooling — Azure Monitor, Application Insights, or Log Analytics.
- Experience with performance testing tools — k6, JMeter, or Gatling.
- Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code testing — Terraform compliance checks, Bicep linting.
- Knowledge of OpenAPI contract validation and API mocking tools.
- FinTech, BankTech, or multilateral financial institution background.
