About the Role

We are looking for a skilled and hands-on Python Developer – Backend & Generative AI to build scalable backend systems and develop AI-powered features and products.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in Python backend development, APIs, databases, LLM integration, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), with the ability to translate business requirements into reliable, production-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python.
- Build and maintain REST APIs and backend services using Django, Django REST Framework, FastAPI, Flask, or similar frameworks.
- Develop backend functionality across multiple software products and integrate with databases, third-party APIs, cloud services, and external platforms.
- Design and implement end-to-end RAG solutions, including document ingestion, preprocessing, chunking, embeddings, indexing, retrieval, context management, and response generation.
- Integrate LLMs and AI platforms such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, open-source models, or equivalent technologies.
- Develop AI-powered features such as document intelligence, information extraction, summarisation, classification, intelligent search, conversational interfaces, recommendations, and workflow automation.
- Implement prompt engineering, structured outputs, function/tool calling, and AI workflows based on product requirements.
- Work with vector databases and semantic search technologies such as pgvector, FAISS, Pinecone, Chroma, or equivalent solutions.
- Evaluate and improve AI solutions for accuracy, relevance, hallucination, performance, latency, security, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with Product/Project Managers, frontend developers, architects, QA, and DevOps teams from requirement analysis through development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Troubleshoot backend, API, database, integration,



and AI-related issues and perform root-cause analysis.
- Write clean, secure, reusable, maintainable, testable, and well-documented code.

Required Skills & Experience

- Strong hands-on experience in Python backend development.
- Experience with Django / Django REST Framework / FastAPI / Flask or similar Python frameworks.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, backend architecture, authentication, integrations, and application security.
- Good working knowledge of PostgreSQL, MySQL, or similar relational databases.
- Practical experience with Generative AI and Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing RAG solutions is required.
- Good understanding of embeddings, vector search, semantic search, chunking strategies, retrieval techniques, and context management.
- Experience integrating LLM APIs/models such as OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Gemini, Claude, or equivalent technologies.
- Experience with prompt engineering and structured AI outputs.
- Good understanding of Git, SDLC, testing, debugging, deployment, logging, and production-support practices.
- Solid analytical, problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.
- Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into practical backend and AI solutions.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with LangChain, LlamaIndex, or equivalent AI application frameworks.
- Exposure to AI agents, tool/function calling, agentic workflows, and workflow orchestration.
- Experience with document processing, OCR, multimodal AI, or document intelligence.
- Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD, Linux, AWS/Azure/GCP, and production deployment.
- Experience developing SaaS, ERP, HRMS, workflow-based applications, document-processing platforms, or AI-powered software products will be an advantage.
