Role Description The Property Acquisition for Airbnb role is a full time, hybrid position based in Mumbai, with flexibility for some work from home. The role involves identifying, evaluating, and securing residential properties suitable for short-term rental, including conducting site visits, market research, and financial feasibility analysis.

The individual will negotiate with property owners, developers, and brokers, prepare acquisition proposals, and coordinate due diligence, documentation, and contract execution in line with company standards.



Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining a pipeline of potential properties, monitoring local regulations and Airbnb market trends, collaborating with internal teams on design and setup, and ensuring that acquired properties align with Ocean Group’s hospitality and investment goals. The role also requires regular reporting on acquisition progress, risks, and opportunities to management.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in property scouting, market research, and financial analysis related to residential real estate and short-term rentals.
- Ability to negotiate effectively with property owners, developers, and brokers, and manage end-to-end deal closures.
- Knowledge of local real estate laws, rental regulations, and compliance requirements relevant to Airbnb and hospitality operations.
- Proficiency in relationship management, stakeholder communication, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Comfort with using digital tools for property listing analysis, data tracking, and reporting (e.g., spreadsheets, CRM, property portals).
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Hospitality Management, or a related field; relevant certifications are an advantage.
- Prior experience in real estate acquisition, brokerage, hospitality real estate, or Airbnb/short-stay operations is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Mumbai, manage fieldwork and office tasks efficiently, and travel locally for site visits as needed.
