Babylonia is a controlled-environment agriculture company based in Kozhikode. We build living walls, indoor farming systems, and the hardware and software that run them. Small team, real products, a lot still to build.

Role Description

This is a six-month, in office product design internship in Kozhikode. You will work on our Muse living wall range: modelling parts and assemblies in SolidWorks, preparing manufacturing drawings, and iterating designs based on what actually happens when we build them. Our workshop is in the same building, so you will see your parts made, find out what does not fit, and fix it. You will work directly with the founder.

What you will work on

- Model parts, enclosures, and assemblies for our living wall and indoor farming products.
- Produce manufacturing drawings for fabrication vendors.
- Design for real constraints: sheet metal, extrusion, plumbing,



and electronics that have to fit inside.
- Build and test physical prototypes in our workshop.

Qualifications

- Currently in your final year, or recently graduated, in Mechanical, Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field. Diploma holders welcome.
- Comfortable modelling parts and assemblies in SolidWorks. Revit, AutoCAD and SketchUp or similar is fine too.
- Can produce a clean manufacturing drawing with dimensions and tolerances.
- Some understanding of how things are actually made: sheet metal, machining, 3D printing.
- Bring a portfolio or one project you have modelled. It does not need to be finished or impressive.
