We are looking for a dynamic and creative Multimedia News Producer to join our fast-paced digital newsroom. The ideal candidate should have a passion for digital storytelling, multimedia content creation and news production, with the ability to create engaging content across multiple digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Create, produce and package engaging multimedia content including videos, explainers, shorts and digital news packages, particularly around geopolitical and international news.
2. Manage and publish content across digital platforms, with a strong focus on YouTube, YouTube Studio, YouTube uploads and live streams.
3. Collaborate with editorial, video, graphics and other teams to develop timely and engaging digital news content.
4. Monitor geopolitical developments, current affairs, digital content trends and audience preferences to develop relevant and engaging multimedia stories.
5. Ensure all content is accurate, visually engaging, platform-appropriate and aligned with editorial standards.
6. Package news content effectively for YouTube, including appropriate titles, descriptions, thumbnails,



tags and other publishing elements to maximize audience engagement.

Requirements:

1. 1+ year of relevant experience in digital media, multimedia production, newsroom operations, or a similar role.
2. Strong command of English, with the ability to understand, write, edit and effectively package news content.
3. Strong understanding of geopolitical news, international affairs and current events.
4. Hands-on experience with YouTube and YouTube Studio, including content uploads, publishing and live streams.
5. Strong understanding of YouTube content formats and audience engagement, with the ability to package content specifically for the platform.
6. Solid understanding of digital storytelling and the ability to create engaging videos, explainers, shorts and multimedia packages.
7. Excellent coordination and communication skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced newsroom environment and meet tight deadlines.

Preferred Skills:

1. Experience working with digital news platforms, media houses, news portals or digital publishing teams.
2. Strong interest in geopolitics, international news and global current affairs.
3. Understanding of digital audience behaviour, YouTube trends and content performance.
4. Basic knowledge of video editing, graphics or other multimedia production tools will be an added advantage.
