We're hiring a Mechanical Production Engineer, Specialty Polymers.

At Intrinsic Foundries (IIOT Innovation Pvt. Ltd.), we convert industrial carbon, both emissions and effluents, into high-value biochemicals. Our proprietary tubular photobioreactor (PBR) systems, validated at TRL 7 to 8 and spanning 1 kL to 10 kL, turn industrial CO2 into products like omega-3 fatty acids and algae protein. We work with leading Indian industrial groups across steel, cement, food and beverage, and pharma.

The reactors themselves are built from specialty, optical-grade polymers. As we scale from pilot to commercial deployment, we need someone to own that polymer processing: injection moulding and extrusion of the components that make our systems work.

About the role

This is a full-time, on-site position at our production facility in Hazaribagh, Jharkhand, within our Engineering and Production function. High-gloss injection moulding is central to it: the optical clarity and surface finish of our components directly affect light transmission and reactor performance, so producing consistent, defect-free, high-gloss parts is a core requirement.

What you'll own

Injection moulding of specialty and optical-grade polymers (PMMA/acrylic and similar resins), including mold changeover and process-parameter development.

Extrusion of PMMA tube and profile production used in PBR assemblies, controlling dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and throughput.

Tooling, mould and die selection, and process optimisation, including cycle-time and scrap reduction.

QA/QC protocols, inspection plans, and SOPs across moulding, extrusion, and finishing.





Preventive maintenance for moulding machines, extrusion lines, and auxiliaries.

Collaboration with our design team and international manufacturing partners to translate component requirements into manufacturable, high-gloss parts, and to document process innovations for our IP pipeline.

What we're looking for

B.E./B.Tech or M.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Aerospace, or Polymer/Plastics Engineering.

Minimum 5 years of work experience, including at least 2 years hands-on in polymer processing and production.

Demonstrated experience in injection moulding and/or extrusion with high-gloss or optical-grade surface finish. This is essential.

Experience with specialty or engineering polymers such as PMMA/acrylic or polycarbonate.

Proficiency in CAD, machine setup, mould/die changeover, and the ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.;

Direct experience with PMMA processing, tube/profile extrusion, mould and die design, or SPC/lean/Six Sigma is a solid plus.
