Role Description The Political Social Media Executive – Punjabi Language role is a full-time position based in the Mohali district, with a hybrid work model that allows some work-from-home flexibility. In this role, the executive will create, schedule, and manage political and issue-based content in Punjabi for various social media platforms, ensuring accurate messaging and consistent brand voice. Day-to-day tasks include drafting posts, captions, and scripts; monitoring online conversations; responding to comments and messages; and coordinating with internal teams to align content with campaign goals.

The executive will track performance metrics, prepare basic reports on engagement and reach, and suggest improvements to enhance audience interaction. The role requires close attention to political developments, cultural nuances, and trending topics relevant to Punjabi-speaking audiences.

Qualifications





- Strong command of Punjabi (reading and writing is essential) and good proficiency in English or Hindi for internal communication and basic translation.
- Demonstrated experience managing social media accounts, including content planning, posting, and community engagement for political, social, or advocacy campaigns.
- Ability to create clear, persuasive, and culturally sensitive content in Punjabi across formats such as posts, microcopy, short scripts, and basic visual briefs.
- Familiarity with major social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, YouTube, WhatsApp) and understanding of platform-specific best practices.
- Basic knowledge of analytics tools and metrics (reach, engagement, followers, impressions) and ability to generate simple performance summaries.
- Awareness of current political events, social issues, and regional dynamics in Punjab and surrounding areas, with the ability to reflect them accurately in content.
- Robust organizational skills, capacity to handle multiple tasks, and ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment with defined deadlines.
- Comfort working with cross-functional teams (design, video, strategy) and openness to feedback and iterative content development.
- Previous experience in political communication, digital marketing, journalism, or social media content creation is preferred.
- Relevant education in communications, media, political science, or a related field is an advantage but not mandatory if experience is strong.
