Responsibilities
- Lead integration and validation of the software platform above the Randa AEC firmware, including module management, diagnostics,
telemetry and test automation.
- Translate system and software architecture into clear interfaces, implementation plans and integration milestones across firmware, ASIC, validation and product teams.
- Develop and maintain reference host software and C/Python tooling to exercise management flows, state transitions, telemetry and failure recovery.
- Own pre-silicon and post-silicon platform validation using simulation, FPGA/emulation and hardware-in-loop environments; drive first-silicon bring-up and root-cause debug.
- Build scalable regression, conformance and release-readiness workflows using CI/CD, static analysis, automated test and requirements-to-test traceability.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership, mentor engineers and ensure defects, interfaces and validation results are documented for internal and customer-facing teams.
Essential Experience
- 8+ years of embedded or platform software integration and validation experience on shipping SoCs, networking silicon or high-speed interconnect products.
- Robust C and/or C++ plus Python, with experience across embedded Linux, RTOS or bare-metal systems.
- System-level debugging across hardware, firmware, drivers and applications, including board or SoC bring-up with JTAG and related tools.
- Hands-on pre-silicon and post-silicon validation using simulation, FPGA/emulation or hardware-in-loop environments.
- Experience designing automated regression or conformance test frameworks and converting specifications into testable requirements.
- Familiarity with management and sideband interfaces such as I2C/I3C/SMBus, SPI and MCTP.
- Commitment to modern software development practices including Git, CI/GitLab, Make/CMake, code review, unit testing and static analysis.
- Strong documentation, cross-functional communication and technical mentoring skills; BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent

Useful Experience
- CMIS, OSFP or other pluggable-module management standards and state-machine validation.
- AEC, AOC, optical transceiver, retimer/redriver or related device-adjacent software.
- PCIe, CXL, Ethernet or SerDes link training, equalization and fault diagnostics.
- Secure boot, authenticated firmware update, image signing and rollback mechanisms.
- Telemetry, diagnostic data pipelines, manufacturing test or on-chip measurement methods
- Interoperability or qualification work with NICs, switch ASICs, host BMCs, hyperscalers or tier-one OEMs.
