The Role

We're seeking an experienced, driven Planning Architect - Manager to lead our Planning team on a range of residential extension and planning projects. You'll take ownership of project delivery from a planning perspective, manage and mentor junior team members, and act as the key point of contact for clients and local authorities - working closely with both our Indian and UK teams.

What You'll Be Doing

? Leading the preparation and submission of planning applications and supporting documentation

? Reviewing and overseeing technical and architectural drawings for planning and construction stages

? Managing and mentoring junior planning architects and technologists, reviewing their output for quality and compliance

? Overseeing the development of presentation packages for client proposals,



planning submissions, and internal reviews

? Acting as the primary liaison with clients, local authorities, and external stakeholders on planning matters

? Collaborating with architects, designers, and consultants across time zones, coordinating workload across the Planning team

? Supporting project delivery through Revit-based workflows and ensuring adherence to best practice

? Driving creative and strategic input on projects while maintaining quality, compliance, and delivery standards

? Monitoring project timelines, budgets, and resourcing within the Planning team

What We're Looking For

- 5+ years of experience in an architectural/planning role, including experience managing or mentoring a team
- Strong command of Revit (4+ years' experience essential)
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and SketchUp
- Strong working knowledge of UK planning policy and processes essential
- Proven ability to lead planning applications end-to-end, from feasibility through to submission and decision
- Solid design sensibility, strategic thinking, and transparent communication skills
- Confidence presenting ideas and leading creative and client-facing discussions
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and team management skills
- A degree in Architecture, Planning, or a related field
