Planning Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Planning Engineer to develop, monitor, and control project schedules, resources, and progress. The role involves project planning, progress reporting, resource management, delay analysis, and coordination with project teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered in line with contractual scope and milestones.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project.

- Prepare and maintain Work Breakdown Structures (WBS) aligned with project scope and BOQ.

- Develop activity lists, sequence activities, establish relationships, and identify critical path activities.

- Estimate and monitor manpower, material, and equipment requirements.

- Prepare and monitor resource histograms, S-curves, and resource loading.

- Monitor actual progress against baseline schedules and identify schedule variances.

- Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, productivity reports, and earned value analysis.

- Develop short-term look-ahead schedules for project execution teams.

- Analyze project delays and prepare revised/recovery schedules.

- Support preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims and delay analysis reports.





- Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement, Cost Control, and other departments to collect and validate project progress.

- Attend progress meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors and present schedule updates and forecasts.

- Identify schedule risks and support appropriate mitigation measures.

Qualifications & Experience

- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.

- Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in project planning and scheduling.

- Primavera P6 certification is required.

Required Skills & Knowledge

- Strong knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project.

- Project planning and scheduling.

- CPM (Critical Path Method) and Earned Value Management (EVM).

- Resource planning, loading, and estimation.

- WBS development and schedule management.

- Project delay analysis and recovery planning.

- EOT claims and narrative reporting.

- Positive analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

- Good communication and reporting skills.

- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

- Effective time management and teamwork.
