About the Role

n

We are looking for a hands-on Lead / Manager – IT Infrastructure & Network to own and scale Amber's internal IT environment.

n

This role requires someone with strong experience across IT infrastructure, networking, IT operations, asset management and access management . We’re looking for someone who has personally managed and improved the IT environment of a growing organisation and is comfortable combining hands-on problem-solving with team and stakeholder management.

You'll be responsible for ensuring our office and employee IT infrastructure is reliable, secure and scalable, while building processes that support teams across locations.

What You'll Own

n

Network & IT Infrastructure

n

n
- Own and manage LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPNs, firewalls and network access controls .
n
- Manage office network infrastructure, including switches, access points, cabling and connectivity .
n
- Monitor network availability and performance and proactively resolve infrastructure issues.
n
- Manage and improve IT infrastructure across offices, employees and business systems.
n
- Manage core environments including Microsoft 365, Active Directory/Entra ID and endpoint infrastructure .
n
- Ensure appropriate backup, disaster recovery and business-continuity processes are in place.
n
- Work with vendors and service providers for network, infrastructure and IT requirements.

IT Operations & Support

n

n
- Oversee day-to-day IT operations and L2/L3 support across the organisation.
n
- Ensure timely resolution of infrastructure, network, device and access-related issues.
n
- Own employee IT onboarding and offboarding across devices, applications and access.
n
- Manage IT infrastructure and support for employees working across different locations.
n
- Build effective support processes and ensure appropriate escalation and resolution of critical issues.

Asset Management

n

n
- Own the complete IT asset lifecycle ,



including procurement, allocation, inventory, maintenance, recovery and disposal.
n
- Maintain accurate visibility of devices and IT assets across offices and distributed employees.
n
- Manage IT vendors, procurement and software/hardware requirements.
n
- Identify opportunities to improve asset utilisation and control IT costs.
n

Access Management & IT Security

n

n
- Manage employee access across business-critical applications and systems.
n
- Own provisioning, role changes and de-provisioning as part of the employee lifecycle.
n
- Administer Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and related access controls .
n
- Manage security controls such as MFA, SSO, RBAC, Conditional Access and endpoint/device security .
n
- Conduct regular access reviews and ensure inactive or unnecessary access is removed.
n
- Maintain appropriate security practices across employee devices, applications and IT infrastructure.
n
- Partner with relevant teams on broader security, compliance and data-protection requirements.

Processes, Automation & Team Management

n

- Build and continuously improve IT SOPs, policies and operational processes .
n
- Identify recurring IT issues and implement long-term solutions rather than relying on reactive support.
n
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive IT workflows and improve operational efficiency.
n
- Explore new technologies, including AI and automation , where they can practically improve IT operations.
n
- Lead and mentor the IT team and drive ownership and accountability.
n
- Work closely with HR, Finance and other business teams on IT requirements and initiatives.

What We're Looking For

n

n
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in IT Infrastructure, Networking and IT Operations .
n
- Strong hands-on experience managing enterprise/office network infrastructure .
n




- Experience with LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, switches, access points, VPNs, firewalls and network troubleshooting .
n
- Experience managing IT infrastructure for an organisation of approximately 300–400+ employees .
n
- Experience managing IT assets across offices and/or distributed employees .
n
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory / Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and access management .
n
- Good understanding of endpoint and general IT security controls .
n
- Experience handling or overseeing L2/L3 IT support and escalations .
n
- Experience building and improving IT SOPs and operational processes .
n
- Some experience leading an IT team and working with cross-functional stakeholders.
n
- Relevant technical education such as BCA, MCA, BSc IT, Computer Science, Engineering or a similar discipline is preferred.
n
- Experience in a startup, scale-up or mid-sized organisation with broad, hands-on ownership is preferred.

What Will Help You Succeed

n

We're looking for someone who is hands-on, proactive and comfortable taking ownership . You should be able to identify an IT or network problem, understand the root cause and drive it through to resolution.

n

Experience setting up or scaling an office IT/network environment , managing infrastructure for distributed teams, improving access and asset-management processes, or building IT processes from scratch will be particularly valuable.

n

Clear communication is significant for this role. You'll work with employees, vendors, cross-functional teams and leadership, so you should be able to explain technical issues clearly, manage stakeholders and drive projects to closure .

n

Exposure to IT security, automation or AI-led improvements is an advantage, but specialist data-security or AI experience is not a requirement.
