The Opportunity / Role

n

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer – BI Analytics & Data Warehousing to contribute to the development of scalable data infrastructure and efficient data pipelines that power business intelligence and analytics.

n

n

The role will suit a hands-on Data Engineering professional with 6–9 years of experience across ETL/ELT development, data modelling, SQL and database engineering.

n

n

You will work across data ingestion, transformation, warehousing and analytics enablement, helping ensure that data is reliable, accessible and optimised for business use.

n

n

Roles & Responsibilities

n

ETL / ELT Development

n

n
- Design, build and maintain efficient ETL and ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory, Databricks or similar orchestration frameworks .
n
- Ensure reliable ingestion of data from multiple sources into centralised data warehouses and data lakes.
n

n

n

Data Modelling & Warehousing

n

n
- Design relational and dimensional data models aligned with business and analytical requirements.
n
- Develop and maintain data models optimised for analytics and reporting.
n




- Work with up-to-date data platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift and PostgreSQL .
n

n

n

Database Engineering

n

n
- Develop productive SQL queries and stored procedures for data transformation, cleansing and aggregation.
n
- Work with complex joins and analytical workloads while supporting data and query performance.
n

n

n

BI & Analytics Support

n

n
- Support reporting and dashboard development using Power BI, Tableau or similar visualisation platforms .
n
- Collaborate with analysts and business users to understand reporting requirements and enable self-service analytics.
n

n

n

Performance & Data Quality

n

n
- Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines and warehouse processes.
n
- Implement appropriate data-quality checks and validations to ensure accurate and timely data availability.
n

n

The Candidate

n

We are looking for a Data Engineering professional who combines strong technical depth with practical experience building and supporting production data environments.

n

n

Key Requirements

n

n
- 5–10 years of experience in Data Engineering
n
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering or a related field
n
- Hands-on experience in ETL/ELT development and data modelling
n
- Strong SQL skills
n
- Experience with databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake or Redshift
n
- Exposure to cloud and data engineering technologies such as:
n
- AWS S3
n
- Azure Data Factory
n
- Databricks
n
- Lambda functions
n
- Familiarity with Python for scripting and data manipulation
n
- Basic understanding of JSON, Parquet and CSV
n
- Exposure to Power BI or Tableau will be an advantage
n

What Will Differentiate You

Candidates who have experience in building reliable production-grade pipelines, designing analytical data models, troubleshooting data-quality or performance issues, and working closely with analysts and business stakeholders will be particularly relevant.
