Role Description The Pediatric Intensivist will provide specialized, evidence-based care to critically ill infants and children in the intensive care units at the Hoskote and Bhattarahalli centers in Bengaluru East. This is a full-time, on-site role that involves managing pediatric emergencies, overseeing ventilatory and hemodynamic support, and coordinating multidisciplinary care plans. Daily responsibilities include performing clinical assessments, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, leading resuscitation and stabilization efforts, supervising junior medical staff and nurses, and engaging in family counseling and education.

The Pediatric

Intensivist will collaborate with pediatricians, anesthesiologists, nurses,



and other allied health professionals to ensure high-quality, safe, and continuous care. Participation in clinical protocols, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing professional development is expected.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust expertise in Medicine and Critical Care Medicine relevant to pediatric intensive care.
- Candidates should possess skills in Pulmonology and respiratory management for critically ill children.
- Candidates should possess experience working closely with Anesthesiology teams for perioperative and procedural care of pediatric patients.
- Candidates should possess familiarity with Critical Care Nursing practices to effectively coordinate with nursing staff in high-acuity settings.
- MD/DNB in Pediatrics with fellowship in Pediatric Intensive Care, or equivalent recognized qualification.
- DM / DrNB in Pediatric Intensive Care ( freshers also welcome to apply)
- Valid medical registration with appropriate national and state medical councils in India.
- Demonstrated ability to handle pediatric emergencies, perform advanced life support, and manage complex ICU cases.
- Strong communication skills, team collaboration, and a compassionate, family-centered approach to care.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call duties as required.
- Experience in tertiary care or dedicated pediatric ICU settings and participation in clinical audits or quality improvement programs is an added advantage.
