Role Description This is a part-time remote role for Online Tutors supporting students in Grades 9–12 for IB, IGCSE, and CBSE boards. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering interactive online lessons, explaining key concepts clearly, and aligning teaching with curriculum and exam requirements. Tutors will assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, and feedback, and adjust lesson plans to address individual learning needs.
The role also involves maintaining accurate records of sessions, communicating with students and guardians as needed, and using online tools and platforms to manage classes and learning materials. Tutors are expected to uphold academic integrity and create an inclusive, respectful learning setting for all learners.
Qualifications
Strong subject-matter expertise in one or more areas relevant to Grades 9–12 (e.g., Mathematics
Physics, Chemistry ,Biology,
Economics, Business Studies , Languages- English, Hindi, Sanskrit, German, French ,Spanish (IB, IGCSE, and CBSE curricula).
- Demonstrated ability to explain complex concepts clearly, adapt teaching strategies to different learning styles, and support exam preparation effectively.
- Proficiency with online teaching platforms, video conferencing tools, digital whiteboards, and basic office software used for remote instruction.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English, with the ability to provide constructive, timely feedback to students.
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience at the secondary level (IB, IGCSE, CBSE or similar curricula) preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or in a relevant subject area is beneficial; relevant certifications or training in pedagogy or online teaching are an advantage.
- Reliable internet connection, a quiet workspace, and the ability to work flexible hours to accommodate student schedules across different time zones.
