Senior Videographer & Photographer

Position Details

Designation: Senior Videographer & Photographer

Level: Officer

Function: Corporate Communications / Brand & Communications

Location: Angul, Odisha

Reporting To: Head – Corporate Communications / Communications Lead

Role Purpose

To conceptualise, capture, edit and deliver high-quality photography and video content that effectively showcases the organisation's people, operations, projects, achievements, events and corporate initiatives across internal and external communication channels.

The role will be responsible for end-to-end visual content production, from pre-production and shooting to editing, post-production and final delivery, while maintaining a consistent visual identity and professional storytelling standard.

Key Responsibilities

1. Photography

- Capture high-quality photographs for corporate communications, internal communications, digital platforms, publications and events.

- Cover leadership visits, employee engagement initiatives, plant operations, projects, CSR activities, events and organisational milestones.

- Develop strong visual compositions that effectively communicate the scale, people and impact of organisational activities.

- Maintain and organise a structured digital archive of photographs with appropriate tagging and metadata.

- Ensure timely delivery of edited photographs for communication requirements.

2. Videography & Video Production

- Plan, shoot and produce corporate videos, event coverage, interviews, employee stories, leadership messages, documentaries, reels and short-form digital content.

- Handle end-to-end video production including scripting support, shot planning, camera operation, lighting, audio recording and post-production.

- Capture footage in industrial/plant environments while ensuring adherence to safety protocols.

- Develop visually engaging content suitable for internal communication, social media, websites and other digital platforms.

3. Video Editing & Post-production

- Edit footage into polished and engaging videos aligned with the communication objective.

- Undertake colour correction, sound editing, transitions, graphics, subtitles and basic motion graphics.

- Adapt videos into different formats and aspect ratios for platforms such as YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram and internal communication channels.

- Maintain consistency in branding, typography, music, visual language and storytelling.

- Manage multiple versions and revisions while ensuring timely delivery.

4. Content Planning & Storytelling

- Work with Corporate Communications and internal stakeholders to understand communication objectives and translate them into visual stories.

- Develop creative concepts, storyboards and shot lists for key campaigns and organisational initiatives.





- Identify opportunities to proactively capture compelling stories from the workplace.

- Bring creativity and fresh visual approaches to corporate storytelling.

5. Event & Leadership Coverage

- Provide professional photography and videography support for conferences, town halls, employee events, leadership visits, plant events and other important organisational occasions.

- Capture leadership interactions, key moments, employee participation and event highlights.

- Ensure quick turnaround of priority photographs and videos for time-sensitive communication requirements.

6. Industrial & Plant Photography

- Photograph and film industrial operations, manufacturing processes, infrastructure, projects and technical activities.

- Demonstrate an ability to visually communicate complex industrial processes in a clear and engaging manner.

- Coordinate with plant teams to obtain necessary access and ensure safe movement within operational areas.

- Follow all plant safety, PPE and photography/videography protocols.

7. Equipment & Production Management

- Operate and maintain professional cameras, lenses, lighting, audio equipment, gimbals, tripods and other production equipment.

- Ensure equipment is properly maintained, stored and available for assignments.

- Identify requirements for new equipment and recommend upgrades based on content needs.

- Manage shoot logistics including equipment planning, locations, permissions and backup arrangements.

8. Digital Content & Social Media Support

- Create short-form video content, reels, teasers and visual assets for digital and social media platforms.

- Optimise content for different platforms while maintaining corporate brand guidelines.

- Support communications campaigns with relevant photography and video assets.

- Stay updated on emerging visual storytelling formats, editing techniques and content trends.

9. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management

- Work closely with Corporate Communications, HR, CSR, Operations, Projects and other functions to fulfil visual content requirements.

- Coordinate with external production agencies, freelancers and vendors where required.

- Manage multiple assignments and prioritise deliverables based on business requirements.

- Understand stakeholder requirements and translate them into high-quality visual outputs.

- Proper maintenance and accessibility of the digital media archive.

- Equipment utilisation and maintenance.

- Compliance with plant safety and photography protocols.

Education

- Graduate/Diploma in Photography, Videography, Film Making, Mass Communication, Visual Communication, Media Production or a related field.

- Relevant professional certifications in photography, cinematography or video production will be an advantage.

Experience

- 5–8 years of relevant experience in professional photography, videography and video production.

- Prior experience in a corporate, industrial, manufacturing, infrastructure, media or agency environment will be preferred.

- Strong portfolio demonstrating both photography and videography capabilities is essential.

- Experience in industrial/plant photography and corporate storytelling will be an added advantage.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be a versatile visual storyteller with strong hands-on expertise in both photography and videography. The candidate should be capable of independently managing assignments from concept and shoot planning through production, editing and final delivery.

Experience in industrial photography/videography, corporate communications and large-scale manufacturing environments will be particularly valuable. The candidate should combine technical proficiency with creativity and be comfortable working in both office and plant environments.
