Role Description The News Reporter will be responsible for gathering, verifying, and reporting news related to election campaigns, political developments, and grassroots activities. Day-to-day tasks include conducting interviews, attending events and briefings, researching background information, and producing accurate, timely news stories and reports. The role involves writing clear and engaging content for internal and external communication channels, including reports, press materials, and digital platforms.

Reporter will collaborate closely with campaign strategists and field teams to ensure consistent messaging and informed coverage. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Shahjahanpur.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Reporting and Journalism, with the ability to cover on-ground political and campaign-related developments.
- Proficiency in News Writing and Writing for multiple formats, including articles, briefings, and digital content.
- Experience creating and managing Press Releases, ensuring explicit and accurate communication with media and stakeholders.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments, meet deadlines, and maintain high standards of accuracy and integrity.
- Comfort with on-site fieldwork, including attending events, traveling locally, and engaging with diverse communities.
- Basic understanding of political processes and election campaigns; prior experience in political or news reporting is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Political Science, or a related field preferred.
