Job Description

Sikich is seeking a Network Administrator responsible for administering, managing, and securing the companies network and infrastructure across India and US operations. This is a hands-on, infrastructure-focused role that maintains local infrastructure in India while providing support to US-based systems. The role requires a deep command of on-premises network environments, Windows Server, Entra ID and Azure cloud infrastructure.

Job Responsibilities

n

n
- Serve as primary point of contact for critical outages and alerts, triaging and resolving issues with a sense of urgency.
n
- Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPNs.
n
- Diagnose network hardware problems and coordinate repair or replacement as needed.
n
- Configure and maintain network devices including switches, routers, firewalls, and VPN systems.
n
- Support Windows Server environments including basic administration, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
n
- Test network connectivity, validate configurations, and perform network diagnostics.
n
- Monitor network device logs and alert systems to identify and respond to issues proactively.
n
- Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and resolutions for knowledge base and audit purposes.
n
- Provide incident response and coordination with other departments and external vendors when necessary.
n
- Perform routine network maintenance activities and device health checks.
n
- Maintain and update network documentation and device configurations.
n
- Install, configure,



and setup network equipment including cabling, switches, routers, firewalls, and physical infrastructure.
n
- Support Azure infrastructure, Microsoft 365 and cloud services as needed.
n
- Participate in other IT infrastructure related projects and tasks as needed.
n
- Provide tier-2 and tier-3 escalated support, managing and resolving tickets sent to the infrastructure queue.

- Serve as the lead technical resource for the India IT team, offering technical mentorship, guidance and knowledge sharing to junior staff.

Requirements for Successful Candidate

n

n
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
n
- 10 years of experience in network administration or IT infrastructure support.
n
- Working knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, switches, routers, firewalls, VLANs, and DNS/DHCP.
n
- Experience with network troubleshooting tools and diagnostics.
n
- Hands-on experience with network hardware including switches, routers, and firewalls.
n
- Experience with Windows Server administration.
n
- Foundational knowledge of Azure cloud services and infrastructure.
n
- Experience with wireless networking.).
n
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with methodical problem-solving approach.
n
- Explicit communication skills with ability to explain technical issues and solutions to non-technical users.
n
- Robust documentation skills and attention to detail.
n
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of infrastructure issues.
n
- Capability to prioritize and manage multiple issues in a fast-paced environment.
n
- Willingness to provide off-hours support for critical US infrastructure issues.
n
- Comfort working with networking equipment and cabling.
