The main function of a modeling and detailing of wiring harnesses is to apply engineering principles to Wiring harness to design models of wiring harnesses in the engineering projects.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work with wiring design engineers to build and tweak models of their designs for production.
- Allocate wire splices at optimized distance following CAT standards.
- Work with schematic engineer for schematic updates.
- Repack bundles and look for interferences in the 3D model.
- Flatten the harness based on machine fitment and orientation.
- Create 2D drawing of Wiring Harness based on CAT standards.
- Perform all team center related, engineering notice etc activities prior to drawing release
Skills:
- Good experience in CREO Cabling toolGood experience in CAT Wiring harness standards OR Other Harness Detailing standards.
- Knowledge of Wiring harness manufacturing process
- Good Knowledge on interpreting machine orientation /views
- Positive Knowledge on harness components and their accessories.
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills.
Education/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Electronics required.
- 7-9 years experience required
