Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced MEP BIM Coordinator with 4–8 years of hands-on expertise in MEP BIM coordination and Scan-to-BIM workflows on US-based projects. This is a remote position (India-based) requiring the candidate to work US shift hours. The ideal candidate will lead coordination of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within Revit and Navisworks, convert 3D laser scan/point cloud data into accurate BIM models, manage clash detection, and ensure MEP design coordination aligns with architectural and structural disciplines across US commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and coordinate MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) models in Revit/AutoCAD MEP as per LOD 300–400 requirements for US projects
- Convert point cloud data (from laser scanning) into accurate 3D BIM models (Scan-to-BIM) for existing conditions and renovation projects
- Register and process point cloud data using tools such as Autodesk ReCap, Faro Scene, or similar
- Perform clash detection and coordination using Navisworks Manage; resolve MEP clashes with architectural/structural teams
- Create and manage MEP shop drawings, fabrication models, and coordination drawings as per US codes and standards
- Collaborate remotely with US-based project managers, engineers, and field teams to align BIM models with construction schedules
- Ensure compliance with BIM execution plans (BEP), project standards, and client-specific requirements
- Conduct QA/QC checks on MEP models for accuracy, completeness,



and constructability
- Support field verification and as-built documentation using scan data
- Coordinate with GIS/digital twin teams where applicable for facility management integration
- Maintain strong self-discipline and communication for effective remote collaboration across time zones

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- 4–8 years of experience in MEP BIM coordination, with mandatory experience on US-based projects
- Proven hands-on experience in Scan-to-BIM on US projects
- Proficiency in Revit MEP, Navisworks Manage, AutoCAD MEP
- Working knowledge of point cloud registration software (ReCap, Faro Scene, Cyclone, or similar)
- Understanding of LOD standards (100–500) and BIM execution plans
- Familiarity with NBIMS, ISO 19650, or similar BIM standards
- Strong understanding of MEP systems design per US codes (ASHRAE, NEC, etc.) and constructability
- Excellent coordination and communication skills for multi-discipline collaboration
- Experience with clash detection reports and resolution logs
- Comfortable working US shift hours (6:00 PM – 2:30 AM IST) remotely
- Reliable high-speed internet and a dedicated remote workspace

Preferred/Bonus Skills

- Experience with Autodesk BIM 360/ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud)
- Knowledge of Dynamo/scripting for automation
- Exposure to digital twin or facility management workflows
- Prior experience with GSA or government/AEC US projects
- Prior remote work experience with US-based AEC firms
